ELITE PTAC LLC ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Effective Date: 06/20/2026
Elite PTAC warrants that each refurbished PTAC unit sold by Elite PTAC will be free from defects in workmanship and major component failure under normal operating conditions for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
Warranty Coverage
- If a covered defect occurs during the warranty period, Elite PTAC will, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the defective component.
- Provide a replacement component.
- Replace the unit with a comparable refurbished unit if repair is not practical.
- This warranty applies only to defects resulting from normal use and operation.
Parts-Only Warranty
This is a PARTS-ONLY warranty.
Elite PTAC does not provide reimbursement for:
- Diagnostic charges
- Service calls
- Labor costs
- Removal costs
- Reinstallation costs
- Travel expenses
- Third-party contractor charges
Any labor required to diagnose, remove, install, repair, or service a unit is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
Shipping Responsibility
The purchaser is responsible for all shipping, freight, packaging, transportation, and handling costs associated with warranty claims.
Elite PTAC is not responsible for inbound or outbound shipping charges related to warranty service.
Warranty Claim Process
To initiate a warranty claim, the purchaser must:
- Contact Elite PTAC immediately upon discovery of the issue.
- Provide proof of purchase.
- Provide the model and serial number of the unit.
- Provide photos, videos, diagnostic information, or other documentation requested by Elite PTAC.
- Allow Elite PTAC a reasonable opportunity to troubleshoot and evaluate the claim.
No warranty claim will be approved without prior authorization from Elite PTAC.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Improper installation
- Improper electrical supply or voltage
- Lack of maintenance
- Dirty coils, filters, or components
- Abuse, misuse, neglect, or vandalism
- Water damage
- Freeze damage
- Fire, flood, lightning, storms, or other acts of nature
- Corrosion caused by coastal environments, chemicals, or contaminants
- Damage caused during transportation after delivery
- Cosmetic defects including dents, scratches, paint imperfections, or discoloration
- Normal wear and tear
- Refrigerant leaks caused by physical damage
- Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Units operated outside manufacturer specifications
Limitation of Liability
Elite PTAC's maximum liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the unit.
Under no circumstances shall Elite PTAC be liable for:
- Loss of revenue
- Loss of occupancy
- Loss of business
- Property damage
- Hotel relocation costs
- Utility costs
- Downtime
- Incidental damages
- Consequential damages
Commercial Use
PTAC equipment is commercial mechanical equipment and requires proper installation, maintenance, and operation.
The purchaser assumes responsibility for ensuring the equipment is properly installed, maintained, and operated.
Transferability
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable without written authorization from Elite PTAC.
No Other Warranties
Except as expressly stated herein, Elite PTAC makes no other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
